After looking around for awhile with my fiancee to get some ideas on what she liked, I found this ring and thought "this looks like something she would really be into". MAN...she fricken loves it and recieves compliments on it daily (not exagerating)..beautiful vintage look,almost near perfect cut(slight flaw in stone) not very noticable though, and just an all around gorgeous ring.She's super ecstatic which makes me happy..

Diary: Diamond Rings and the Rave Cave

This week’s diarist is Diamond Rings, who performs at North by Northeast June 17 at Yonge-Dundas Square and June 18 at Wrong Bar.

My home studio (affectionately dubbed the “Rave Cave”) is a tiny room within a larger renovated warehouse space that I’ve subdivided into “live” and “work” zones with a loft bed. It may not be perfect, but it sure is nice to climb up to sleep after a day of work down below without worrying about finding stray guitar picks in my bed sheets!

However, one thing that always bothered me about my setup was the fact that I did my recording while sitting down at a desk. Here I was, a young musician making electronic dance music full-time but feeling more like a secretary in a downtown high rise! So this spring I decided to finally stand up for myself. I sold my desk on Craigslist and in its place built a high shelf to support my computer and speakers. I raised my keyboard stands a few notches to match and all of a sudden I’d been reborn not only as an artist, but as one of the many proponents of the “stand up desk” phenomenon.
